Do you test on animals?

Osprey Village Soap Company is 100% cruelty free. None of our products are tested on animals. Our dog Milo has brought us so much happiness, we honestly can't imagine life without him. Osprey Village Soap Company was born out of personal need, so all of our products have been tried and tested on ourselves (and of course our ready and willing family and friends).

How long will my Osprey Village Soap Company products last?

We use absolutely zero preservatives or harmful additives. This means it's best to use your product within 9-12 months of opening. Keep your products in a cool, dark place and out of direct sunlight. Every single one of our ingredients has a purpose and a benefit to your skin...this means our products are packed with 100% active ingredients - nothing else. 

What's the best way to handle sensitive skin?

Be gentle with it! Always wash sensitive skin gently, and never use harsh cleansers or anything with unnatural, harmful ingredients. Unfortunately, often times the products people use on their skin do more damage than good. All of our hand-crafted products are completely toxin & chemical free. Our products are natural and healthy with no harmful fillers.

What happens when you switch to an all natural deodorant?

If you're not already using an all-natural deodorant, your body goes through a detox period when you make the switch. This may look like a rash and you may smell a little bit more than usual for a few days (it sounds gross, we know). But this is your body's way of getting rid of all the chemicals in your pores and lymphnodes from your previous deodorant. It won't last long (a few days for some, a few weeks for others), but after that you'll be SO glad you did it. It's so worth it to ditch those nasty toxins!

Can I use your products if I'm pregnant or nursing?

All of our products are free of chemicals, toxins, or any harmful ingredients. We use plant based and all natural ingredients only. That being said, if you are pregnant or nursing please contact your doctor or physician first.

It's really hot out, and my body lotion / body butter has melted. What do I do?

We are passionate about providing you with 100% clean, pure and toxin-free skincare. This also means our products are sensitive to heat because we don't use any synthetic fillers or stabilizers. For best results and length of life for your products, store them in a cool dark place, away from direct sunlight. Some items may "melt" (the body butter or lotion for example) however it doesn't affect the quality at all. If you need to, give it a quick stir and put it in the fridge until it firms up.
